to the new I-Pads.
Where has Technology taken us?
Where did everything go?
What more is there to see...?
Technology has taken over the world...!

Is Technology Good or Bad??

Is technology helping us or hurting us? Do we depend on our computers, phones and appliances to much? Is it causing us to be stupid and use it for everything? What will happen to us if we lose all our technology would we all die because we don't have cold meet or GPS's ,or phones?Are we losing are energy and our love of the outdoors? Are we now couch potatoes and texting fanatic's? Should we get rid of phones? If you don't want to get rid of it we then don't over use it!!!!

My name is
Paco Santino .I am part of the Croatoan tribe .Today I found out that earlier some of my friends died …I am very angry .It was those stupid white men! They say it was an accident but I don’t care if it was or not .I don’t know when, but I am going to kill those stupid white men …they killed my best friend! I have my whole plan figured out .I’m going to get really close to the white men .I am going to show the white men that we know every thing about this land, then they are going to want to live with my tribe because they want us to help them .Then before they move in with us …we attack! Then when the other white men come back they will have no clue what happened.

Roanoke Diary Format
August 9th
Attack and kill friendly natives




I was feeding my little baby when suddenly one of the men in our tribe yelled “run” I looked at the open sea and saw a ship coming to sour dock. I tried to see what was on the ship. I heard something that sounded like a cannon. After the sound went away a fiery ball came towards us and hit our fort. Everyone began running for there lives. I grabbed my baby and ran as fast as I could (for my and my baby’s life.) I ran in to the tents.


After it was safe everyone came out of the tents. I grabbed my baby and ran to my mom & dad’s tent. I ran in and yelled “mom” “dad” they where not there they died by the cannon shot I was devastated. I ran to my other family members tent. I was the only survivor me and my baby. I went back to my tent and started to cry. Then I heard noise. I thought it was the tribe we attacked. A man walked in he had long hair he sat by me and said “I’m the only survivor too” then we cried for a few minutes. After we were done the man had a plan. “For revenge let’s give them the evil water” he said. Yah! Let’s do it” then we talked about it all night.

Hello my name is Jack Fisher. This is the first time I’ve written in a journal. It is the 28th of July and we are running low on food so captain white is sending me and Howe to go find some food. I grabbed my list musket, bullets, helmet, armor, and journal. Then they opened the gate and we walked off into the woods.
Howe and I decided it would be best if we split up, me go try to hunt deer and he head to the river to catch fish. We would meet back at the fort at sunset.
It is now an hour past sunset and no sign of Howe. So I White and another soldier went to the river to look for Howe and we found him covered in arrows! Poor Howe we should have stuck together. It’s my fault he’s dead .

Roanoke diary

Have you ever had tortoise? Well I have for dinner. It took hours to find tortoise. When we were done looking for them. They had 5 of them. It took 16 men to carry one, and one of them was me. I was so tired and so were the other men. I felt like I was going to pass out. After that we cooked them, and ate all. Then we where so thirsty. So we drank yummy water. After that we got very ill.

1607- I, John Smith, am so confused. I keep hearing rumors and stories that seem to change a lot! Not knowing who to trust or what to say is killing me! Nearby colonists have been telling me about a colony called Roanoke and a strong brave soul, John White. They say they’ve been killed. I’ve heard they moved and I’ve even heard they died from diseases. But I’m not sure what really happened and I’m frightened. If they were killed, I wonder will we be next. Should we plan for attack or be aware of passing diseases? Should we move? I heard the letters C-R-O where carved into Roanoke’s distress tree. Is this a sign? Till further notice our tribe will be on guard! JoAnne H :)
