June 22, 1587

We the colonists all just set sail to Santa Cruz. We are all very nervous and excited, we’re here! All of us are very sick and ill, from the food and water. We have swollen lips, eyes, even our tongues! This water is very dangerous. We will have everything swollen for a couple days. Maybe even a whole week! And the food isn’t any better…we have been killing turtles for something for us to eat. (And trust me those sea turtles are not light.) Then after all of our trouble we found Native Americans, and they helped us get a lot better!
